My blower is not functioning correctly, the fan only turns off when the switch is in the center position, the blower motor recieves all the correct voltage, but the switch is operating in the wrong position, replaced the switch, is there a relay or something that switches the voltage to the blower motor and where would it be located. help please
On my 76, there is a relay to activate the highest blower speed, and some resistors that control the lower speeds. Both the relay and resistor bank are located at the top of the firewall in the engine compartment on the passenger's side (top of the ac/heater coil).
Sounds like either an open resistor, or open wire from switch to resistor (or resistor to blower).
Fan doesn't switch off completely until the console control is turned from MAX AC to Off.
Most of the Corvette suppliers have year specific wiring diagrams. It pays to have one.
