Bob,
Yes my example is a small one from the parts bins in the basement. If you don't mind would you mail me a package of the ones you used? I will e-mail you my address.

Paul Iused those clips on my 79 handels. they worked perfect. the ones I used for a machine thread and my stock screws were abit loose so I squeezed them to tighten up the hole a bit also ground the sides a bit to allow it to be in the centre of the old hole. as I said WORKED PERFECT

Thanks Ken. This is the first job to be done at Easter when the car comes out of storage. The Forum is a great place to find solutions to both major and minor problems, both of which can be vexing.

first i bought a replica from mid america for the drivers side- then the pass side busted - i had a tight budget so i (call me bubba) took two strands of tie wire, cleaned the busted pieces out of the nose wrapped the wire around the screw and put a good coat of 5 min epoxy on it and shoved it up the rubber part of the handle - it worked great - the wire went in far enough to support the pull, maybe 4 in. - my girl freind constantly rips the door closed and it has held for almost 2 years now - it a bit messy and you have to get the excess epoxy off before it drys - but it works great - dave
