'75 th400 transmission--problem solved
I took my vette to the local repair shop where they replaced all of the seals and took care of a few other small issues leftover from Bubba.
After driving it for a day, I realized the trans was not going into passing gear and the cowl induction flapper was not opening when I fully depressed the gas pedal. Of course, the shop was closed for the weekend so I decided to look at it myself. It turns out the switch was bad, so I took it out and disassembled it. There was a lot of sticky goop in there causing the contacts to not make a connection. Cleaned the inside of the switch, put it back together, and it works great.
Cliff notes:
1) Trans did not go into passing gear.
2) diagnosed a bad switch.
3) Repaired switch. it is hard to get apart, but it will open up.
I hope this helps someone doing a search someday. Looks like this saved me about $30.

I had same issue last year and jumped the gun on the new switch. Fixed the old one and now I have a spare...soon it will be in the swap meet box!
