Default Spring mount height??

Does anyone make a spring that would allow me to run a shorter connecting bolts at the end of the spring? With the offset that I run the current set-up is too close for comfort to the inside of the rear tires. Can the mounting pad on the rear cover be machined or the spring pad on a fiberglass spring be altered? I am using 16x10's, with offset control arms. If I could run a shorter bolt I could possibly tuck the whole thing inside the wheel. Thanks

I'd caution milling the spring mounting pad on the diff cover enough to gain any significant difference, as I've seen a number of early C3's with broken spring bolt flanges (this may be one reason later C3's have smaller diameter spring bolts), but FWIW you can gain most of an inch by "raising" the diff in the chassis, a la Chevy Power tip for road racing ride heights. Of course, conversion to coil-overs would eliminate the issue.

Don't know why I overlooked pointing this out, as I have a short Guldstrand main leaf myself...
