Scoop question
What is the benifits in having a scoop that directly conects to the carb. when the car doesn't have a supercharger besides looks?

Cold air adds 1% more HP for every 10 degrees you drop the intake air. So your scoop will help making cooler air available. However, your open element air filters will inhale whatever it can get which will be a mixture of cooler outside air and much hotter engine bay air.
To realize full benefit, you must somehow seal the intake air stream so that only outside air is inhaled. That's why later C3s have ducted air from in from of the the radator or closed air pathways from the cowl.
