Steering column transmission lock problem
I have a 73 BB roadster with headers and a 200-R transmission. I recently switched out stiff column for aT/T column. I replaced trans lock cable that was missing. The replacement cable does not seem to be long enough to push lockout arm on the column far enough for key release. To further complicate things cruise control was installed and the cruise cable group going up to carb rubs against the lock out arm on column. My questions:
Does the 200-R require a longer cable?
Has anyone bent the lockout arm on their column to relieve interference?
I am tired of using a coat hanger to pull up arm so I can remove the igniton key every time park.

Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
or play with the cable shroud position, sounds like a minor adjustment maybe achieved by loosining the bolts on the firewall/flange, and playing with the outer bracket position a bit....
I have a 200 4r, but long ago ditched all the safety maven crap....
