OK here is the big question? We have a 71' that we bought and when we got it the wiper door was off because the PO had broken two of the bolts out well we've had it for about year and half and I finally got around to drill and tap the holes out with a new kit. All the hoses have been repalced and vacuumm solenoids and switch's. Well before we bolted the door down we could work the switch and watch the arms move up and down without any problem. Now I BOLTED the DOOR in and now the #$@^&$% thing will come up as soon as we start the car and will not return unless we pull the hose off. What is going on could we have something pinched, it seems that we have vac on the solenod by the fender all the time. I have back traced all the lines and it is really baffeling me. Any GOOD sugestion would be appreciated. Thanks gang wro87
Is the wiperdoor vacuum over-ride switch under the steering column pulled down? This would open the wiperdoor as soon as you start the car.
Regards,
Alan
Also, I beleive if the wiper door vacuum switch on the right wiper arm is not closed (wiper arm not hitting the switch), the door will stay open when power is turned off. Check adjustment.
