Default creeping idle

I have an edelbrock 750 and the idle seems to want to creep up when the engine is hot. I've adjusted the idle mixture with a vacuum (both out about 1 3/4ish turns) and the car seems to run very strong, but I just cant seem to get the car to idle at a constant rpm.
anybody have any thoughts?

If all it takes to get the idle back down is turning the idle screw I would look at the spring under the screw and see if its lost its spring.

Well your not alone. My 600cfm edle does the same thing. I just adjusted to spec rmp when hot so on cold start after choke fast idle kicks off the engine idle is very low. Not too big a deal, I can live with it

that is when you should be adjusting the vacuum is when the car is hot and choke is off. try doing it again this time when hot. adjust the idle air and then the idlle itself im sure you wont have the problem again.

I'll readjust when the car is hot. I noticed last nite that is was running rich on idle again so hopefully this will take care of it.

Is your choke valve plate completely open when it has warmed up? If not, that's your problem. Follow adjustment instructions in the Chevy Chassis Service Manual for setting the choke (cold and hot).
