Default Gearbox

I want to upgrade my outo 350 in my 1978 C3,could any one sugest an upgrade that will just bolt in and a torque converter what is the best stalling speed

Need more info. Are you drag racing,street driving what is the intended purpose. Also what is the motor specs and rear axle specs. Your question is to vague. You have to give the details. There are plenty of upgrades for a turbo 350, or you can bolt in a overdrive trans or swap to a stick shift if you want.

Look at Bow Tie Overdrives for auto transmission replacement options. There are a number of options. Select the combination that meets your horsepower and driving needs. Their packages include the appropriate converter for your driving needs. ou can also switch from auto to manual w/ overdrive with various transmission packages from Kiesler

Follow the link below. We introduced the A41 4 speed automatic overdrive for the C3 back in `07. It has proven itself to be a robust and reliable tranny and will drop your cruising rpms by 32%. It`s a direct bolt in with no modifications required on the car.

The car is an OUto already so I will not need the cooler, give me the cost .and weight of the unit,will I have to shortern the propshaft

Running 383 stroker with outo 350 gearbox 3.09 rear end
