I'm replacing my heads with Brodix IK200 heads which according to Brodix do not work with stamped steel rockers; they only recommend full fulcrum rockers. Anyone used the Proform roller rockers or have any pros/cons they could share.
I was looking at the Harland Sharp and the Lunati Voodoo rollers as well if anyone has any experience with those. This is for a weekend cruiser, not a track car.
Its easy to find lots of Proform rocker horror stories.
Harland Sharp has been around forever and makes good rockers.
I cant comment on the Lunati Voodoo rockers, but I have run other Lunati roller rockers with no issues in the past.
From: Who says "Nothing is impossible" ? I've been doing nothing for years.
I have used Harland Sharp in the past a few times and never had a problem with them, they are good inexpensive aluminum roller rockers
Jeese imagine that a rocker from China breaking, what are the odds. They are good at making stuff that looks like the real thing but doesn't work like the real thing

This looks like a good commercial for proform.

Yeah only one broke, probably quite an improvement
I'm going to call brodix tomorrow, I know of longer studs flat on top
for roller rockers I cant see why regular ball stud rocker could not be used they can be bought for $80.00 a set of $250.00 roller rockers are just not needed for flat tappit springs open pressure of 300.
with the cam he is going to use will lift the valve enough to use up around 275 pound open pressure.

I bought mine from Mercruiser, a full fulcrom Roller Rocker. This is on a 383 I have, consistant RPM of 5,700 available. I have over 700 hrs on this set of rockers without a single problem. I run alot of Marine Engines in many applications due to extreme durabilitly. Allan
I tried installing a set of Proforms once and they didn't fit right, pushing the push rods sideways so they rubbed against the guide plates. I've had good luck with Comp rollers.
Thanks for all the feedback. Sounds like Proform is NOT an option. We're going to try and make the stamped steel rockers work.

You'll know the right stuff to ask them. I have limited knowledge, so didn't really know how to ask the right questions when they told me that only full fulcrum would work.
Of course when I asked about the fitment of the Edelbrock 2101 intake to the IK200, he said they had no way to test every manifold. Maybe I was just talking to the wrong person or he was ready to leave early on a Friday.
most anything branded proform has poor quality but it's new & twinkles ... similar to spectre brand.
IK200 has very large intake port openings ... too large for e2101.
Instead, get IK180 ... they're plenty for a street 355 & fit e2101.
I have for sale a very nice set of slightly used sbc rockers ... Crane gold race aluminum 1.5:1 rar; note they are for the larger 7/16" stud ... they have break-in/test time only ... from a CT motor w/ single 1.250" Kmotion springs (relatively lite) ... nothing failed but I sold heads. Firm $190 includes ground delivery conti USA ... no disappointment ... No ship outside usa repeat No ship outside USA. Email thru this site only if you want them on those terms.
