How do I lower the rear body on my 68 ? Longer bolts ? And where can I get them ?

Duntov sells a kit with bolts that are 2" longer than stock

Some hardware stores and home centers will have grade 8 bolts that are a couple of inches longer than the stock ones.

I had looked and looked at all the local hardware stores, I found lots of 8 and 10 inch bolts.. but none are grade 8.. vbp has kits, so you might have to go that route....

I used these bolts for a C4 from midamerica- 10.5", grade 8. Someone told me about it long time ago.

Hi 76Y,
Many towns have a commercial fastener company like FASTENAL. They have or can quickly get a good supply of grade 8 bolts.

PS: You do need to be careful that the bolt doesn't get too long. The longer bolts allow the outer tip of the long spring leaf to get very close to the inside lip of the wheel.
