Dynomax Ceramic Coated Headers

I just wanted to get as many comments on those who are using these Dynomax Ceramic Coated Headers.

My Hooker Super comps that I bought 2 years ago are too low and are digging up my blacktop driveway .

I have read posts that these ride higher, but want to hear all the pros and cons.

My cylinder heads are Edelbrock Performer RPM's

I've had those headers from Summit on my '80 for a few years. They have less clearance than stock, but I've never had any problems with them hitting anything. There are several other points that would hit first.

Here are a few pictures that show measured clearance, not just subjective clearances:

BTW, I really like these headers. They still look great after 3-4 years. They fit around the steering and start well too:

Thanks, mine is a 69 and it might be different that the newer C3's.

Anyone else out there with a 68-72 vert using these Dynomax headers?

I have these headers on the car for 2 years. No issues. The air dam in the front and the pipes under the diff are the lowest. ps sorry this is a 81

Both the Corvette SB Hooker Super comps & Dynomax Cerama-Coat flow great. I have been rec. them & many have them now.

PS Walker is a major manu. of mufflers & when they lost the first Hot Rod muffler shootout they bought the winner, Cyclone & changed the name to Dynomax.
Mine are the old Cyclone chrome (sleeper setup).

Local corvette shop said to use Hedman.

Anyone have these on there C3?

All the Hedman's i see have footnotes saying wont clear steering damper?

I have these on as of today.... Happier!

Also having a new dyno run... I will tell you any difference from last dyno run...

The Hedman headers are not tuned and don't appear to be equal length while the Dynomax may not be tuned but do appear to be equal length.

I researched both and chose the Dynomax and with no regrets. 3 years later they still are looking new. (Caveat garage kept)

Note the near-straight-down from 4-6 and 3-5 cylinders. I had block hugger headers like this (but stainless, not ceram coated) before the Dynomax ceram coated I have now. The straight-downs come too close to the motor mounts. The ss headers I had melted the urethane pads. I had urethanesicles hanging below the mounts.
