A/C Pressure
"Pressure switches" were only required to prevent high side blow off on 134 conversions done properly.
74 used a vir system and the valve is probably sticking and/or the desiccant bag has let go and floating around in there.
Get your buddy to get you a vir assembly and go back to 12 or convert properly to 134 and adjust the valve in the vir (if possible) or go with a later OT evaporator or even an eliminator kit.
Please describe exactly what was done to convert to 134
Still need ALL the pressures to give you a good guess.
So on compressor number three he desided to just use a couple of can's of R134 instead of a box of it that he had. He said what he think was happening was that too much of the liquid was getting into the system. After bolting it in, pulling vacuum, and slowly putting in a couple of can's to 45 lbs, its working like a champ. He thinks that my compressor switch may be going out, he noticed that the compressor wasn't shutting off when I turned it off in the car, it did shut off when I turned off the car and restarted it though.
