Default Kustom GM part number Headers

I have heard of the big block L88 side mount headers part numbers 3960709 and 10. But now I came across a set of small block headers with a GM part # stamped in the header flanges. The numbers are 3977971 and 2 with a 1519 on both flanges. At first i though these were for a camaro or other vehicle, but laying them next to the big block headers they have the same basic dimensions, except the pipes going into the collectors do not roll up and then back. they just roll out and back.
Has anyone ever heard of or seen another set of these headers.

The only part I could find with that number (3977971) is a control panel for a Whirlpool washer. I don't think that would look good on a vette!

Thanks for trying. I can not even come up with anything like that. I am fairly certain they are GM just can not find anything to back it up. I have done a google Kustom, Gm and just about every combo I could find and blank for all. went up talked with Mr Guldstrand. He stated Yes Chevy did make some for the small block, but he did not have any idea of the part number, But his eyes really lite up when I told him I had a set of the big block one's and he stated He really liked those headers. Said he couildn't tell me anything about the small block headers as he built very few small block race cars, but he used the big block headers almost exclusively.

I had a set of them on a '66 roadster 350/350 that I was playing with back in 1974/1975. I worked in the parts dept. of a Chevy dealer at that time and spent my free time daydreaming in the parts catalog and high performance book , never had that car on the track or anything but it sure felt strong,,,,,,,,,loud too ! Peace,,, Moosie

Thanks Guys!!!
I was some what aware that there were Big Block headers, But did not have a clue there were small block headers. All the header part numbers match. Looks like on the small block headers you would have to notch the lower front of the fender in the trim area for these to clear, Not like the Hookers headers were and similar to the factory side mount exhaust. Thus I assumed that they were not for the corvette. And we all know what happens when one assumes.
Funny thing was that I bought both the small block and big block headers to cut up and convert to a LS engine. Real glad I did not get the saw and torch out now. Used a set of Hooker headers instead.
For those that have not seen the small block headers here are a few pic's of them. Notice how the pipes go into the collectors, they don't go out from the engine and then turn up, they just angle up then back.

As I recall the ones I "bought" from G.M. were exactly like the ones pictured by DDanno except mine were black and they had nipples brazed on the pipes for A.I.R. connections, they even came with unions to complete the connection. Peace,,,Moosie
BTW, I cant ever remember them getting hot enough @ the collector/tube area to burn myself on, warm, yes, very warm but not enough to burn like a car with factory sidepipes without the covers installed. They left scars !
