Exhaust
My car is a 75 4 speed car with a 290hp crate engine.
Thanks!
I purchased the Chambered II in May. I have a 72 smallblock 4spd roadster, no headers - yet.
The fit was reasonable. Passenger side went on without a hitch. Drivers side had to have a quarter inch cut from the front exhaust pipe. Other than that, it went on nicely. It also hang under the car nicely. No problems with hitting anything coming out of a driveway.
The sound is that of sidepipes, which I wanted, just not exiting by my ear. The drone is gone, but depending on what rear end ratio you have it does purr inside the cabin, especially with the top up. Top down, it's great. I don't know what your tolerance level is, mine is greater than my wifes.
The car gets many looks on the street when crusin down the road. Under acceleration, it's sounds healthy!!!
Headers, my opinion on shorty headers, they're not what I'd reccommend. Too close to the block and starter and no real HP advantage. Go long tube.
Well, this is the long and short of it in a nutshell. Remember, it's your money.
Any other questons or concerns, PM me.
