Hi Guys--Mickey Thompson L60x15" Indy Profile SS--will these fit on my stock 73 with stock rear 8" rims?? seller says they are equivalent to P275/60/15--I have p245/60/r15 on their now with no issues--
Hi C,
With a 275 tire I believe you'll have a problem with the inner side-wall rubbing on the emergency brake bracket on the outside of the trailing arm.
On a stock wheel I believe the tire will protrude beyond the fender lip too.
Regards,
Alan
They are similar to 275-60s and should fit the rear on an 8" rim with 4" backspace with no problem. My avatar picture shows my '74 with 275-60s on a 10" rim (5" backspace). They stick out a little past the fender (which I am in the process of correcting - long story for another post).
BUT - the Indy Profile SS tire is bias ply, so you should to run bias ply on the front too.
