Default Help identifying '74 suspension

What diameter front sway bar was standard on a small block 1974?

What an optional front sway bar offered? If so what diameter?

Also, my 1974 has a small rear sway bar. Was this an option or would it be an aftermarket item?

(The car appears to have a 7 leaf rear spring.)

Hi Dan,
I'm not very familiar with 74 cars but ... in 71-72 the standard rear spring was 9 leaf. The optional F-41 suspension had a 7 leaf rear spring and a 9/16 inch sway bar.
The front sway bar was 3/4 inches for 350 cars and 15/16 inches on BB and F-41 cars.
Hope this helps you some.
Regards,
Alan

My '74 small block had a 3/4 inch front bar and none in the back. This was the standard (non-optional) suspension package.

Dan:

1974 offered the FE7 Gymkhana suspension that included a 15/16" front sway bar, 7 leaf rear spring, front springs and heavy duty shocks. The rear sway bar (7/16") was included beginning in the 75 model year. The front bar was the same as the F41 suspension front sway bar but in 75, the bar diameter was increased to the monstor 1 1/8" bar. Standard size for a small block was the 3/4" bar.
