Convertible Top Install
Can anyone recommend a good shop around Baltimore/Bel Air where I can have my new top put on?
Should this job take 11 hours in labor? That was my first quote, but I saw the guys from Al Knoch at Carlisle putting them on much quicker than that...

I had mine replaced by Al Koch at VetteFest in Chicago about 4 yrs ago. It took them probably 4 - 5 hours. It depends on how many parts you need replaced, if any. 11 hrs seems extreme.
The top they put on fits great and looks just as good today. You should go on their site and see if they have any events coming up in your area.

11 Hours...
That’s crazy, I did my top with my neighbor helping, neither of us had every done it before, it took us maybe 4 hours, not really knowing what we were doing. And it turned out fine.

I ordered a internet top, cheep, 160 bux....for the money it looks as good as any other...'72 vette vert....
it cost me 150 bux to get installed, and he came here to do it also....mobile trim shop....
NOW the final comment, unless you get your canvas measured and cut to YOUR car, expect it to not fit so great....
THAT is the way these thing are, and I have had some 6 convertible tops through the years/decades....BTDT, American, China, Japan, whatEVER.....
