Canada VS. USA
I know this has nothing to do with the beloved Corvette but I'm still half-drunk from the bar where I watched Canada kick some Finnish butt :D :D :D . I know they'll beat Belrus, and am pretty confident the US will defeat the Russians :smash: . Assuming we play the Americans, my question is this: who will win and what will be the score? In one game contests like these, with both Canada and US teams full of NHL star calibre players, the team with the hottest goaltender wins. After last night's contest, Brodeur is sharp. If he's on his game, Canada wins. If not, well....

I think you are actually believing thoose Molson TV spots about the US being afraid of Canada. Canada is still not playing as a team, although individual players are making sacrifices, the US are totaly unselfish.
And I can't wait to watch Coaches Corner after the US takes it to 'em.

All those years attending Blackhawk games, and hearing the Canadian anthem...I never could understand all the words. I always though you guys "stand on God for thee!!" :conehead Maybe I had too many beers before the game!! :yesnod: I go back to the days of the "original 6" NHL teams. Jean Beliveau, Doug Harvey, The Rocket, The Pocket Rocket, John Ferguson, Dave Schutlz (fight of the night), Dickie Moore, Tim Horton, Bobby Hull, Paul Henderson, Bobby Orr, etc. Great times. Good hockey! Now it is just dump it in the zone and scramble in the corner. I attend Senators' games here in Ottawa and there is little value for money in the NHL. The international games are much more exciting: great skating, passing and team work. Love the current series.

Let's not forget Stan "the man" Makita..Tony "O" and Phil Esposito..Gordie Howe. Makita was the golf pro at a local coarse here for many many yrs after retierment. AHHH... those were the days..(sniff) :cry

The final will come down to who wants it more. In a 7 game series, there is no doubt Canada would win. In one game, anyone can win (ask Sweden). :lol:
