Ganey, you link did not work for me, tried twice....
I did that switchover to a '78+ shark column about 15 years ago....one thing I did notice was the wheel wound up some small distance further forward, away from me....
in a rebuild/modification session some years ago, one of the mods was to put some plywood between the firewall and flange, flipping the silver mounting tabs around on the column mount, that brought it back to me, and made it more comfy....it's a personal thing....
one thing I did enjoy was moving the dimmer sw to the t/sig lever I also modded the floor, but another story....
the smaller wheel is very nice, no more bus driver feel....
Yes, it's personal & the later column is very good for most
I like the wheel a little closer to the inst. panel & put a Grant Corvette black leather st. wh. w/ polished slotted spokes which has a shallower dish.
Thanks for the info guys. I love this forum. Ask a question and there is always someone willing to help. The Jim Shea papers are an excellent source of information. Thanks again

I periodically update the various papers on the corvettefaq.com websight. So the old addresses won't work after an update. It is always best to go directly to Terry Rudy's websight and scroll down through the Corvette Steering Papers to find the latest addresses and revision dates. I always try to indicate the latest revision date in the description. Also, I have been trying to list papers in both microsoft word.doc and pdf formats.
