One question: Your sumped fuel tank you showed, is that the unit from Aeromotive or did you fab that up for the aeromotive pump/filter system?
- i think msd coils or any coils should be mounted vertical. when they are horizontal they heat up and blow up.
Impressive power and torque curves !
This is the production year and engine I wanted to buy 20 years ago.
But I was only 25, and it was a little too expensive for my wallet...

Vertical or with a slight angle, let's say 30°, but not horizontal. These coils are cooled with oil. When they are mounted horizontally, some of the copper wires inside the coil won't be cooled enough.
This can lead to electrical issues, or oil leaks. Only "epoxy coils" can be mounted in any position, like these :

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Can you comment on your sumped fuel tank? Is the Aeromotive fuel pump in there? I know they make a unit that is designed to fit in the tank. Is this is it or did you fab your own? Or is it just a droped area for the fuel pick up only? I assume the spare tire goes away??

You may have traction issues. That's a lotta power !!

thanks for the heads up on that i did not know
