Been a long time since I posted anything. I still have a 72, all stock. I seem to be leaking fuel from the tank. I believe it is from the small valve for the early evap systems. This is located on the left top corner of the tank. Anyone ever replace this? Are they available? If not available what do you use to block it off?
Yes the valve is probably cracked and they are pretty easy to take off. Two bolts hold it to the bracket made to the gas tank. They are available at this link.

Here's a picture of what it looks like up there in Willcox's drawing. You should be able to reach without much problem.
What makes you think it's the valve that's leaking rather than a hose or connection?
