I ordered some from Amazon a few months back and got them right away. They were getting scarce at the time, I searched until I found them shown as "in stock" before I ordered. I noticed currently Summit is estimating ship dates in mid Nov for Hooker side pipes..
Have heard sporadic complaining about availability the last couple of months, my guess is there is a national back order.. but as noted, it looks like Nov will free up the orders.. just my guess

I would call them up and cancel the order and then place it with someone that has them in stock...almost 3 months is unacceptable in my mind unless they told you that.

I will say there is still a back order on them as I ordered mine from Jet hot a month ago but bought the "Extreme Sterling Coating" and they will not be ready till the begining of Nov, but they also informed me of that.

Okay guys i need alittle help here.
I ordered and received my headers, i did the passenger side first, piece of cake, then on the drivers side my cross shaft won't come off, i have an 1980 car with a 4 speed. I have read that the retainer should keep the ball stud from spinning but no joy. i shot it with some WD, let it sit, still the same, went after it with some heat too nothin. Any ideas would be great.

I've noticed on jegs and summitt they've been on backorder for the past couple of months (stainless). Looks like the ceramic and chrome ones were in stock. always a ship date for the stainless, but nothing ever in stock.

I was also looking for side pipes for my 69. I just couldn't drop 1700.00 on pipes at the time. I found a company called xs-power and they had a nice set of stainless for 1/2 of the price almost. I had to hammer a couple of places about 1/4" down...not too bad. Near the collector gets a little yellow tint to it after about 10 hrs or driving. I just get out my drill and a buffing wheel and buff it back to silver in a couple of minutes...no big deal. The only bad part is the first two pipes on the driver side are pretty close to the boots and wants to melt them I would recomend a jet hot coating or such just on those two pipes. It will be costly, like 350.00 or so. They bolted up to a ZZ454 with no problems.
Let me know if you want more info or want to hear how they sound.

I've seen references to XS Power sidepipes on the forums, but have never seen a link to where they can be purchased that works.

Anyone have some idea?

Unfortunately if I can get a product for my corvette from a non-vette only supplier like summit I will. I have had a fair few problems with corvette only parts suppliers, don't get me wrong there are a couple of ok ones, but most have the worst customer service I have ever seen.

Ordered my sidepipes from summit (stainless), they shipped the next day arrived a couple of days after that the 3 months wait you have had is a joke!

They do. And they also have a nice website. Yet nowhere do I find sidepipes as one of their products.

They appear to be a NC company (http://www.xs-power.com/). Is that so?

If so I'll just call and see if they still do make these things.

It was www.XS-power.com. The web site looks a little different. I would contact them to see if they still make them. I found them through a person on Ebay. Can't seem to see a current listing. I'll see what I can dig up. These are sweet sounding pipes too. Stainless and were less than Hooker. I made some changes to the brackets. I didn't want my pipe to point right out with a sooty black hole. I turned them down a little so you can see the curve of the pipe.

Default Pipes are on and sound great

I had to cut the cross shaft bracket off and order a new one from Zip.

What I've found out about the XS-Power company....

They have no contact number on their website. Only a fax number or email for making contact.

Address is residential and out on a country road.

I sent an email and have received no response....

Anyone near the RDU, WaKe Forest area care to drive out to 817 BEAVER DAM ROAD. CREEDMOOR , NC 27522 to see what's with this "company"?
