Thanks everyone!
Thanks for the offers to help out too. I'll be leaving shortly for about a week. I'll email those who want to help out as soon as I get back. In the meantime, anyone who has pics of tech stuff they have done I could use them. I can add the verbage. Here's my email: lbell@chartermi.net
Thanks!
It's very easy for us to vote YES for a free magazine!! So I vote YES!! Sounds like a lot of work and a tough hill to climb (difficult to get ad $$) but I would expect most of us to be interested. Heck, this is your audience right here! If we arent interested, forget it!! Good luck! MJ
Wow 11.5 yr old resurrection, cool idea at the time but also shows how this area of the forum has changed over he years with more complete resto's, how to's etc c/w pics and video. Fun looking back and remembering some of the old long gone from this section members.
So you are saying I should quit looking for my subscription to arrive... Darn, I was really looking forward to the tech articles and free t-shirts and hats...
Hi,
If this thread can be revived after 11 years, maybe SHARK QUARTERLY can be revived after 13 years.
Think I should send in my subscription renewal and see if they start to appear in my mailbox again?
It was actually a very good 68-82 magazine!
Regards,
Alan
I, for one, would LOVE to be able to subscribe to a C3 only magazine, in whatever form it may take. it seems like there are niche magazines for everything nowadays...left-handed redheads who like broccoli, and such. Why not for us? I even have an idea for a tech article...making a hard pump-to-carb fuel line for a single feed Holley carb.
Actually, when I'm done, I'll post a write-up with pics and directions here on the forum.
There was a dedicated C3 magazine in the 1990s called Shark. It was produced in Canada for two or three years. Maybe 8-10 issues a year with a paid subscription. Also included advertisements. I think I still have a complete set in storage somewhere. It was a pretty good mag, with featured cars and good restoration tips. Folded because of lack of subscribers.
Count me in! Maybe the tech articles can focus on common C3 problems like jumpy fuel gauges, popup head light trouble shooting, battery drain issues etc. without having to go through pages and pages of forum searches in hope you might find what your actually looking for.
