Default C3 seats, what will fit

I measured the width of the seat and the interior. It looks like only a 19" wide seat will fit in these cars? Is this correct, i have been looking at Fiero, Corbeau and sparco, Procar plus cobra seats. Some are as wide as 23" will they squeeze into the interior? The other trick would be to find a way to lock the seat back in a more forward position.

The nice part of the Corbeau seat is the seat rails are a direct bolt in, no custom fabricating involved. Where did you buy your seats from, were they the best price?

Got'em on fleaybay from a guy who had bought a new set for his truck, and sold the truck. He never even installed them. I got them for $300 less than I could buy them new. All I have to do is get the rails from Corbeau. Man, I lucked out, but if you can be patient, you might run across a set like you want. These guys have free shipping:

I talked to these guys too:

they should fit. If they don't, I will make them fit. That's almost the whole way this project has been. LOL! I origionally was going to get the uncovered set, and cover them myself, or get them done, until I came across these I got.

I have a set of Recaro buckets that need recovering. They have the bose speakers in the headrests, adjustable support for the lower thigh and came out of a 78 with the tracks if anybody is looking for some. I went with C5 seats for my 63 because my shoulder harness works better with them.

I have Corbeau LG seats in my '78. Great seats, but not if you're taller than ~5' 11".

I have a set of sparco seats that only cost me $20, for both! The seats were a little faded, but that wasn't nothing a little interior paint couldn't fix.

Grumpy: The seats are from Owatta, Canada. They want $130 to ship.
Go to fleabay and type in C5 seats and they will come up for $539.
They are supposed to be new and leather. Check it out.

Well it looks like the Corbeau seat is the only aftermarket seat that will fit in this car.

Can some one measure the C5 seats to get the correct dimension? Are they no bigger than a C3 seat.

Hey Grumpy, Those C seats fit in real nice, they are a little snug at
the upper side blusters and door panel but they are no problem. They mount
in with no real effort on the old seat tracks and give a much better feel then the
old C3 seats did out of my 74. You can find these for around 300 to a 1000
dollars, keep checking the C5 parts here on the forum thats how I found mine
for only 400. After installing these seats I find my car more enjoyable to drive.

They look great Riggs. Which seat rails did you use? Or did you modify the C3 rails to fit.
