Default roller rockers

Everyone here has been super in helping me along with my build. Now I have a questions about roller rockers.

The heads I am going to use are Edelbrock Performer RPM. It says to use pushrods .100 longer then stock. I will double check by measuring before I get the pushrods just to make sure.

My question is...It says to use rockers with a long slot to get the high lift for the valves.

I see stamped steel rocker rollers that say long slot.

I want to use aluminum rocker rollers like the lunati rocker rollers but see nothing about long slot. I am assuming they will work?

Thanks again all your help guys. When the project is complete I will get a video of it running. I plan on having it on the street again in the spring.

Thanks, Marty

Long slots are refering to stamped steel rockers just like the stock ones only with a 1.6 ratio instead of 1.5. Using full rollers you won't have to worry about "slots"

Aluminum rockers always worried me. Metal fatigue and all that. Have you considered steel rollers?

Thanks again! Marty
Why? Why use 3/8ths when you can just use 7/16th? Why use 1.5's? Why use aluminum when you can buy chromoly or stainless steel?

Aluminum shouldn't scare you, that's what the high $$$ Jesel, T&D, etc. are made from. If they're from a reputable manufacturer, run 'em and don't lose any sleep. Harland Sharp are some of the best for the money. Stay from no-name ebay pieces.
Definitely go with the 7/16 studs, they're stiff enough to help with deflection.
As for 1.5 vs. 1.6, the ramp acceleration rates, etc. are figured for 1.5's and that's where most engines will do their best. I've seen several 1.6 swaps that netted squat.
