Default Exhaust question?

I'm going to install Hedman (68286) headers for side pipe with 3" outlet and connect them to Patriot side pipes, the Patriot have an elbow pipe with 2" inlet & 3" outlet that match the patriot side pipe.
The engine was build to ~400hp & ~400tq.
My question: is it OK to go from 3" to 2" and up again to 3"?
Or I should Make new 3" elbow pipe all the way?
Thanks

I would try to avoid that 2" section.
That is tiny for a performance engine and will cost you noticeable power.

Thanks for the reply, that what I thought, any how the elbow pipe doesn't fit and I want to install the side pipe in the same height of rocker moldings and not under them like in the instruction, I think it to low.
