Will have daily pics and updates through the week. I intend to have the entire car done except for seats, soft top and tranny by the end of the week.

McLeod RST clutch, Son of Transzilla tranny, HD driveshaft, Tom's rear end with 4180 half shafts and HD everything, safety loops, monster offset trailing arms, 7 leaf HD springs, the whole enchilada. It IS stout!

Could you elaborate on Toms rear end and where you got the monster offset trailing arms? Thanks

Ditto all the previous comments on your great build

All we need now is for Nick to buy a car, Patrick to put his hood on, and Jim to get us a Beech Bend sponsor.

I have been here 7 weeks now, and feel like this is my home. I need to open a shop here!!!! I am didlligently working on that, so I can be included in all this fun all year round. This place(and especially the people) ROCKS !!!!

Come on Texas people,(and surrounding states) bring me some cars to do over!!!! You wont be dissapointed at the results!!! Doug didnt have me come all the way over here because of my sparkling personality

(Well...maybe 1% because of my sparkling personality)

We need to get 2nd Generation "Texas Edition" established!!

Thanks. I ordered pretty much everything through Tom's but his right hand guy passed away so once we had the parts, we had it all assembled elsewhere. He's still "the man" for stout rear ends.

Wow!

I missed a good bit of the fun today, was working which I enjoy...but was great to see the progress when I got home.

Complete doors are done, rear deck lid completed, underhood ready for hood to be installed. The hard top got finished today, the engine compartment was ready enough for the hood to go on; they did get it on tonight but took no pics when it was on. What's with that? :o) Stan must have been super tired.

Headlight bezels and honeycombs got painted, a lot of work got done on the interior. With the side pipes and the stripe, we are going to leave the honeycombs solid blue so they blend into the fender. Will look awesome rather than quite so busy.

First though, Dana working through Joe got me a great Christmas present which was waiting as a surprise when I got back from my meetings in town: Check out the reflection on the underside of the rear deck!

That will go on the wall but sure looks good in the car don't you think? Thanks to Joe Beatty for working with Dana to have it made and to Patrick Fluornoy for helping to set up the surprise today.

Car is filthy at this point so please forgive.

With hardtop (no window at this point but was installed later): Now THAT is a bad boy! Imagine what that will look like with striped hood and sidepipes! Body is now a great match for the motor!

When I left, they were putting in the bead for the rear window. We do it on the car so the top is fixed in place exactly the way it will be and we wouldn't introduce any undue strains later on the glass or the top.

Mike complained the other day that his picture is never in these threads. So here he is!

Mike shaved this morning to get more pictures in the thread but will have to wait for another day. Don't have a strong enough filter.

Tomorrow we do a lot of completing. Honeycombs and bezels go on, we will move the car to the lift and install headers, finish wiring and reinstall dash, install taillights and rear bling.

Starting to look like a real car now! Thanks to Patrick for your help today as well!

I am actively working on it. We need some Corvettes that need makeovers from the surrounding area to come forward. If the vettes come, so will I.

I dont mind giving the shops around here a run for their money. A little competition keeps everyone on their toes, and I want to stake my claim here. I already bought the cowboy hat. Now I need the shop tp go with it. (Cant really wear a cowboy hat in the Boston shop)

I cranked through all the posts, and deduced the color is a Z06 blue. What is the paint code for this color, and which brand did you use?

Getting ready to work on a 73 650 horse street brawler, which was originally dark blue metallic. I sure like this a heck of allot better!

Sun hit's that paint, and I am drooling!

Thanks for the props! Matches my C6 Z06 (C6 Lemans Blue-LMB)

We used my Vin # to make sure the color was a complete match.

Z06 is very smooth and aerodynamic. The C3 was aerodynamic for its day but has many more contours that pick up the light!

Good luck with your project...keep us updated!

The top latches down, has rubber underneath the top. I will probably put 3-M clear film on now to protect the deck lid.

2006 C6 Lemans Blue is the paint color.
