Travis, with this paint job, everything else is going to look worn. I am getting new sills, new everything. Need interior to look "crisp'. Out with the old, in with the new. Will be sharp and black hides a lot of ill's that show up more with bright colors.
Okay here come some pictures. Stan doesn't like to send pics before the job is done but these look so hot and I don't want to wait!. These are fresh paint, 3 coats of clear, no wet sanding, no buffing, just paint on a guys car. Hood wasn't attached but we wanted it painted side by side on the car so we had an absolute match.
Coolest project I've ever seen. I loved the articles in CE and can't wait to see more of them on the other areas you have noted, especially the rear end build. I can't wait to see the finished results and I know you have to be past anxious by now. Best Wishes!
We brought Bruiser home for the holidays. Will return to the paint shop for striping and 3 more coats of clear and buffing Sunday after Christmas.
It has been almost 2 years since I could house all three cars in the garage at one time, given how many piles and shelves full of boxes were stored in there!
In the first picture you can see that the top half of door and front fender have already been wetsanded. The back fender is shiny!
This vette is first class all the way. You have turned this into
one he!! of a beast. I can't wait to see it finished, but I bet
your more excited then anyone else.

I am indeed! I just finished ordering all the parts for the black interior. Correct bolts and screws, all new door inner hardware, deluxe door panels, will really be sharp! We'll start on the interior right after New Years!
Loving that, looks much more subtle in the darker colour
It will be subtle right up until we put a bright white Baldwin Motion stripe on it next week. No matter how we paint it, is subtle until I fire Bruiser up!
Looking good Doug. That blue really pops and will be killer with the chrome bumpers.
Stan still brings up the chrome bumpers from time to time...many of the cars he's done are bumper delete race car tributes....but this car will have the bling! :o)
Joe, can you post a pic of the rear of your FrankenSport car? I am still fiddling with the stripe I am going to put on Bruiser and have until Saturday to decide.
