Default 1968 Side Window repair pics

Been working on my psg door locks and window regulator. Got EVERYTHING out of the door right now. Thought I would share some pics of what I've got. This is out of a 68 coupe. I assembled this on the table so I could understand how it went back together and to see what parts I want/need to replace. Thought the pics could help someone else and I have a couple of questions. All part #'s in brackets are from Willcox.

This next picture shows the same but with vertical sliders taken off and moved to the side.

This shows the Roller Bearing(33595) with the plastic Channel Bushing(33597) circled in blue. Note the two Bushing(33601) and Cap(33599) to the left cicled in green. I'm not sure why they are reversed. The Aim or other manuals don't show all of the Bushings and Caps so I have nothing to go by here. Anyone have an idea?

This is on the other side and shows the Track Roller/Slider Assembly(33596) circled in red. The blue circles show the plastic Channel Bushings(33597). The green circle shows the hole where a Bushing(33601) and Cap(33599) should be. Not sure which way it goes though. Any help would be appreciated.

Now I have one part left over. It is the Power Window Regulator Mount Bracket (36518). (mine is a little dirtier)

Where does this go and how is it mounted????

shmoky

PS when i get this all turned over I will take a couple of pics of the other side.

Thanks for the pictures Clifford, I'll be saving them for future use.

I have a set of windows from a '68 door that I can take pictures of to show how those bushings are installed. I don't think mine have ever been off the glass so they should be right.

Mine aren't power so I can't help you with that part.

Hi S,
The part is called out as a 'repair bracket' for the window regulator. Perhaps you don't need it.
Regards,
Alan

It was in there but I don't know exactly where it goes. Mine is a little different as it does NOT have the 2 bolts just the 1. Here's a pic.

Just a FYI here's a pic of the set up from above but the other side.

I'm pretty sure that the rectangle pieces of plastic being used as washers is not from the factory. With the number on the motor it looks like a used motor from a wrecking yard.

Here's what mine look like Shmoky,

Your front edge looks right comparing it to my old glass.

And this one shows which way your missing bushing goes on.

I'll pop the door panel off my car and see if I can find that bracket. I don't have power windows so I might not have that.

I should have called you Ernie and let you know I had this covered.

My bracket has three spots on it and wondered what they were. Could be weld spots. Will look on the regulator itself to see if it matches. Thanx for the pic.

Sorry about bringing this thread back up again but it has the pictures I need.

I took out the Driver's side motor and regulator today and it doesn't have the bracket I was questioning on the passenger side. Does the Driver's side use this bracket? I assume(I HATE to assume as I'm usually wrong) that it should have it. There is a hole in the door panel for a bolt to go thru.

Willcox or DZRick you got pics of the driver's side??????

Thanx AV. I looked at the parts book and the "L" and "R" looked the same. But on the car the "L" one looks like it should be shorter. But maybe not.... if the same size was in place then it would just push it farther into the door and closer to the glass. Guess that wouldn't hurt anything.
