Default 700r help?

I have found a 700r tranny out of a 89 s10. I have a 78 vette and I was wondering if anyone knows if the bellhouseing bolt pattern is different since the s10 was a v-6. I am dropping it behind the 350 that has been stroked to a 383. Thanks

IF the 6 cyl was a 4.3, which is nothing but a 350 minus 2 cyl...you are fine, BUT the S10's also came with other/smaller V6 that will not work....

2.8-3.x is a no go...

Default Use V8 internals on rebuild...

Even if it was behind a 4.3, you will still have less friction material in the clutch packs, smaller servos, etc. that will cause a short life behind any stock V8 let alone a built motor.

Install a hard parts rebuild kit for a 88 vette, the forward shifts are controled hydrolicly instead of using solinoids.

(Edit) Man it must be late my spelling sux!!!
