Well i recently swaped the engine in my 76 and now its time to put the hoses electrical wires and such now is it someone could do or would it be better for me to take it to a mechanic to finish the job i bought a aim so in theory i know what im doing but i dont know if i should try it any thought?
just take your time and dont try to get it all done at one time if you can get a doc rebuild wiring diadram it super easy to follow but most things are plug specific
is it a simple thing i figured the hard part was getting the engine inside now i just need to get the bad boy running think if i took my time everything will come along or is it something difficult?
If you have the AIM, you can do it. The hard part is done, so what's the worst that can happen? Maybe won't start or a minor leak. We can help you with that too. Here is a link to removing the engine, just reverse the sequence. Take your time and have fun.
It seems more daunting than it actually is. For the most part the plugs are attached in certain places and keyed a certain way so that 90% of them you can tell where they go without actually knowing.
Hoses are simple too. They either leak or they don't you won't hurt anything if you don't put one on right and fix it promptly.
have a little confidence , it's not all that bad to do.
just go for it! If it does not work the first time.. try again. That is the best way to learn. Plus, when you finish and everything works... you will stand up and be proud of what you accomplished!
