flywheel help
....I'm replacing a flywheel on my 70 350/300 4spd car. The part number that came off the car is 3789733 it is 168 tooth 11" clutch. I have found a few 3986934 available. Does anyone know if they are interchageable ??? or if any other 11" 168 tooth flywheel will work for me ?Thanks in advance.
When I need to compare, I go to Rockauto.com and compare apples to apples, oranges to oranges

Not familiar with those part numbers but as long as the flywheel is a 168tooth and it is for an '70's era sbc, it will work. It should be a zero balance flywheel and the hub will be for a 2 piece rear main crank.
In 1986, GM went to a 1 piece rear main and thus, the flywheels changed at that point. The bolt pattern as well as the counter balance.
Since you are changing it, look into a billet steel flywheel. They will save you weight over the stock cast one's, very strong and they are reasonable in price too.
