Thanks, Thats what I pulled up also, but that switch will not show up under 68 brakes or eletrical or any other catergory. I just thought it should show up in 68 brakes or eletrical. I would not of found this part unless doing it right, like a search for a stop light switch won't do it either. Any way I ordered that part and others from you last night and I'm sure I will in the future also. Manuel

Manuel: Just to let you know for future reference; if you use our navigation instead of search it is under:

68-82 -> Brakes -> Brake Pedal Components -> Brake Pedal

We are excited about our new search function that should be better than anything else currently out there in our market. We just finished our demo and now we are tweaking things to make it better, it will take a little time but you will be able to find parts very fast with the new search.

I hope the new search is similar to what summit has. I always thought their search was the best. After it gives the results you can limit the scope in different ways, reducing hits until it becomes manageable.

Well we are VERY small compared to Summit and do not have the money to throw at many technologies/time that they do. But it will be better than what we have today, and it will have something that theirs does not have.

If we had a few more people focused on altering data and product information to make the search just like theirs that would be great, but we would also have to charge so we could employ them

I'm just glad you show in-stock status. It drives me nuts when I'm trying to find something and their website can't tell me if it's in stock or not.

I can usually find what I need on your site. Only thing that has been annoying me a bit is when I search for a specific year I get page after page of stuff for completely different years.

This will certainly be fixed soon with the new search engine.

Thanks for the feedback.

To follow up on this thread: our new search engine i live and working nicely. As more people use it the results will "tune" to the items you are looking for.

We believe this will be the most accurate search available for Corvette parts in just a few months. Take a spin and let me know if you have any problems, it is not perfect and there are a few small bugs to fix, but I wanted to tell you all about this since it was the topic here.

My only complaint about Zip is when I ordered 4 well cap centers I was told they only had one in stock and would have to order the other 3. I said that would be fine as I was in no hurry and could wait. Next thing I know I received one center with an eight dollar shipping charge and the others came later with another shipping charge. I would have thought they would have waited to get the order together and ship one time. Otherwise they have excellent products.

Movinup - I apologize for the confusion with your order. However, we only charge one shipping amount, and we divided it between your shipments. So you only paid one shipping charge, it was just split between the first shipment and the second.

We think this is more fair than:
a) charging all the shipping up front (check to see if your favorite supplier does this. What happens when you cancel the backorder, do you get some of that shipping back you already paid? How can a company fell good about themselves if they do this?)
b) charging you the amount of shipping we paid on both packages. (We charge one amount based on value of your order and prorate it between your shipments. No matter how much the second package costs to ship, your charge is not increased)
and the worst:
c) charging up front for backorders (If your supplier does this they are either and internet only "business" or a crook)

I think you will find that we are being as fair as we can, and we are proud that we do it better than our competition.

Movinup- In your case, yes it would have been better to hold all the caps (what are you going to do with one cap) and this was a salesperson error. But we ended up paying the price, not you. We paid to ship 2 packages when we could have paid for one, yet we only charged you one amount of shipping for the order

Zip ships me things from VA to FL faster than Ecklers does from 45 minutes up the road. Sad but true

Zip,
Do you guys do only mail order or do you have a store front? I just started restoring a 75 and have bought some stuff from you guys already. I live in MD but my parents live down the road from Mechanicsville and it sure would be convenient to be able to come in to the store and not have to pay shipping.

We do have a walk in showroom here and it is attached to our warehouse, so you have quick and easy access to all our in stock items. You can call ahead and place the order and we can hold it until you get here, or you can purchase directly from us in our showroom.

We will also ship most backorders for free if you order from us in the showroom and the item is not in stock.

If you pick it up here you will be paying sales tax though.

We are a bricks and motor Corvette Parts & Accessories supplier, beware of those that aren't.

I've spent thousands with zip over the past few years. Parts are always great, shipping is best bar none. Returns, no issue.

I had an issue with a 3/4 section of frame for my 69. It took months before I could assemble the entire frame before I found the issue. I worked with ZIP's customer service team who were diligent in getting all the info (pictures etc.) and then they handed me over to Justin. I really thought I was gonna be stuck especially when you consider months had gone by since I received my part.

I brought Justin up to speed on what was wrong. It was not a simple matter to understand. He contacted the vendor and we were able to come up with a solution to modify the frame to work properly.

Justin (ZIP) compensated me well for my troubles. They didn't propose a solution they asked me what I wanted for my troubles. Compensation that I used to order more parts from them. I will continue to use ZIP as they have proved to be a very reliable source.

Customer service really sets them apart from the others. If their parts are more $ I will still buy from them just based off my experience with how they treat their customers.

Yep, ZIP has a store. I live in the same county where they do business here in Virginia. I've gotten just as good counter service as y'all have internet purchasing service. And they always have a few Vettes for sale.

I've used ZIP for years without any major problems. However, my last order, a replacement sideview mirror for my '75 ($54.95) arrived with the glass separated from the mirror. No problem they replaced it and paid the shipping. Well, about 5 months later while driving at 60 mph the glass flew out the mirror. Fortunately it didn't hit my car or any around or behind me. I was disappointed in that.

Yup, I go by them on the way to and from work every day. They know me by name there, and I too have always had nothing but great service from them, fortunately in my case, face to face. BEJ, you should make a point of coming down when the Corvette Club of Richmond has thier annual show there. Zip's showroom is open with discounts across the board.
