I've used both, but go with Summit as they are closer and I get parts the next day.
Been to their warehouse/store in McDonough GA. I could spend days there....
Norm @ X-665, noted, thanks.
Dont get me wrong I have been ordering from Summit for the past 6 tears with awesome results!! But a good tech or sales rep is hard to find anywhere now a days. When I ordered my Bilsteins they offered 2 different part #s for the Corvette Bilstien sports (still do). Same exact part number but one had a 1 at the end. Same car, same everything. The tech said there was no difference. I asked then why is the dash 1 $7 more? He had no idea. Is the new dash one number changed or improved or?? He said nope same exact shock. Bilstein must issue new part numbers when they have a price increase. HA! Whatever I ordered the dash - 1's.
I find Summit's website much easier to use than Jegs. Better pics, assembly instruction PDF's, search function, in/out-of-stock, etc. But that's because I do my own online research...I don't go to a local speed shop to fondle their products, then order online for a better price...that's just wrong. I also don't order by phone cause my cell airtime cost is astronomic.
They both have about the same prices and shipping times. I did order sidepipe mufflers from Jegs that Summit didn't even offer. So Summit isn't perfect. And the competition keeps prices down, I'm sure.
I am in the midst of an engine swap. I have placed several orders to both (my wife now hates the fed ex truck). I go with Summitt first, based on superior website as well as fast ship. I go to Jegs if their delivery is better. Both are great companies, Summitt is just a little easier and faster. My 2 cents.
