Search E-bay and Craigs List they seem to come along every couple of moths or so. If You don't need a pressmolded factory Hood and want an Ecklers they sell for about 1/3rd the price. I have an extra Airbox to bond in the underside if You need one of those.

Which hood do you have now? BB or the one in your picture?

I am in Rock hill and have a L-88 hood I would sell.

Got mine from Ecklers, upposedly they bought the original molds from GM. Recently heard that they sold the molds though.

The hood i have now is on the 81 project in my profile. It now has a BB and the holley carb horn is about 1 and 1/2 inches from the hood. Its an Eklers hood with side vents. Thanks...VIC...

I had a similar issue. I was using a 14X3" air filter, ordered a 14X2.5 from K&N and gained the clearance I needed.

Filter is cheaper than a hood. But I love a big filter,14x3/14x3.5 even better for my tastes. I kinda want to get that nast lookin 80s hood off this car.Obviously I cant run a stocker, and to me a cowl dont look right on the c3. so the l88 hood seems to be the next option.

I bought an Eckler's L88 scoop and have a guy putting it on my SB hood right now. I saw the bonded job yesterday and it looks pretty damn good. He still has to sand more, strip the paint, and primer, but overall I'm happy. I know this option is predicated on finding someone you can trust to do the work, but definitely an option.
