It's been so long since I started my 1970 Roadster restoration, i can't remember where this bit came from. They were in a bag with other windscreen and wiper parts .... but I can't find them in the factory assembly manual .... or where they might fit on the car. Any suggestions would be very helpful.
I could not seem to upload them into the post, so they are the only two pictures in my photo album. Links below.
Hi BB,
The 2 parts in the second picture are supports for the windshield. They mount to the birdcage about 4" in from the a-pillar and the bottom edge of the glass rests on the the little bent leg of the backet. The tip of the bracket was dipped in plack rubber to give a little cushion to the glass.
They are pictured up-side down from the way they are installed.
Regards,
Alan
They attach on each end of the wiper door linkage and then mount to the cowl. they reduce/eliminate flexing of the linkage. If you have an AIM they will be in there. I have a 68 with later linkage in it so those brackets were an add on for mine.
