Default rear brake line installation

Does anyone have a photo of the rear brake line installation where it attaches at the trailing arm? I'm finishing up the rebuild of my rear suspension on my '72, have installed new flexible lines as well as the hard lines to the rear brake calipers but can't seem to get the install right where the flex line goes to the bracket on the t-arm. I put the c-clip on the flex line fitting but the line won't stay put in the t-arm bracket.

Hi G,
I believe the fitting on the new flex line is slightly different than the original. A flatwasher comes (should have come) with the line so you can use it to stop the fitting on the end of the line from moving through the bracket as you describe.
Hope this helps!
Regards,
Alan

That sounds right, I'll have to look for those washers - can't remember if they came in with the new lines or not.
thanks Alan

Here's a photo which shows the parking brake line on the outside of the TA. The clips pressure lock everything in.

Thanks for the pic dar32. The parking brake line is no problem, the clip holding it in works fine. It's the flex line where it connects to the hard line to the caliper which is the problem - the fitting on the flex line goes right through the opening in the bracket. I think Alan is right, I do remember seeing the thin washers in the pack when I ordered the new flex lines, just have to find where I put the damn things.

Hi G,
When I put my new lines on I ran into the same thing you did. At first I coudn't figure out what was wrong, then I saw the washers and the light went on.
Too old to remember if they were round or in the shape of a 'C'. I think 'C' since they slip into a groove in the fitting.
Regards,
Alan
