Default Got these babies today....(pics)

Got em from Jegs, shipped to my house mounted and balanced, ready to roll. 15x8 Wheel Vintique replica Rallys and the ET Street radials. Suprisingly the quality of the wheels is pretty damn good. Hopefully the silver matches my oem front Rallys.

Now I just need my halfshafts from FT Wayne Clutch that are being built and my safety loops from Dragvette and I can finally get this turd to the track. Shooting for the last weekend of Feb. Hopefully the rest of the 145k mile IRS holds up....

Those are the kind of baby deliveries you like. No 2 AM feedings with those.

Hi AJR,
Nice Delivery!
Noticed the scissors you used to cut the strapping sitting on the window sill. People really do look at the pictures!

Yeah that is what I am predicting....

Hopefully with the auto I can walk it out of the hole without too much shock and crack the whip on it a car length or two out of the hole. I doubt the tires will completely hook anyway so....hopefully the IRS innards stay innards.

That oughta get you down the track pretty quick.

What track do you run at?

Got a brother in law down in Pearland working on a 74. He mentioned something about a big vette swap-meet around March, may try and run over there and see what they got.

Been watching your engine thread close, very interested in what it runs.

I'm looking at some BFG G-Force TA KD's for mine to help out with traction.

Keep us posted on how it runs

Your brother in law is probably talking about the Corvette & Chevy Expo at the George R Brown Convention center. Its in March sometime.....usually it sux though...Don't make a trip over JUST for that show. I always go to it but its not that great.

Pearland is just up the road a bit from me. If you ever come to town, hit me up. There is a car cruise in every Friday night in Pearland and I usually go to it.

BTW I will race it at Houston Raceway Park in Baytown Tx. Ofcourse I will only get 1 full pass before they slow me down....then I will run a few 1/8 mile hits to dial it in some....finally when I am ready to call it a night I will run it all the way through and they will likely give me walking papers. I figure it should AT LEAST go low 11s before tuning and walking it out of the hole....Shooting for 10.90s though...

Most of the guys form here run at Evadale I believe.

Ever run there?

Hows the rules there?

Thinking about trying to find a dyno for some tuning now that I got the cooling issue worked out.

Those are the tires I use at the track. Inflate them to 20 lbs,.... do a long initial burnout to heat 'em up,...sidestep the converter at 2000 rpm, AND LET 'ER RIP. And hang on, because they WILL HOOK.

Hey Ken, were you running with the front sway bar still hooked up? I am pretty much stock suspension other then a TRW 340lb spring, adj. strut rods. KYB gas adjust shocks... Alignment and camber stuff just done...

Just wondering if I should go ahead and pull the front sway bar to help get some lift....Remember I have a nose heavy, steel head BB up there....

I will be afraid to banzai it out of the hole....if it DOES hook I will be worried that the 145k mile IRS is gonna shatter.....I am hoping the 3.08s will soften the hit.

Your going to love these tires! I run 19lbs cold pressure, leave at 1200 and just hammer the throttle. I don't use my line lock on a N/A Pass, just short burnout, throttled out of the water. I find that a long heat up is unessary for my car. Car never spins a tire, at all! Still runs 9.90's
I think you'l find that the solid spicers will be the least of your worries.

Now the outer axles...thats another thing. Good luck! Gonna be fun.
