The only place I've ever used lithium grease is on window regulator tracks & rollers. Is it rubber safe?
Another thing I forgot to mention is while silicone is rubber safe, some silicone sprays actually use a rubber-attacking propellant. One way to check is to spray it on a styrofoam cup. If it eats away the cup, then don't spray it on any rubber.
I wasn't sure what part needed to be sprayed, so I sparayed silicone on several moving parts, thinking "what could it hurt?" Both lights immediately stopped working. I just started laughing. My luck is so bad I could fall in a barrel of ***** and come out sucking my thumb.
on tha pic you posted, are you spraying the lube in the square hole on the end or one of the vacuum hose ports?
I have a light that is sticking from time to time and getting lazy. I haven't started looking at it yet but I need to....sux at a cruise in and one light doesn't open without dicking around with it.
After having removed the passenger side actuator, I have decided there is no spray for a seal that fell out in pieces.... The rebuild is under way for both. Slowly but surely I am making this car new again, one piece at a time.
