Thanks 63mako,
It is the factory 1969 L46 engine I have in my car. But to be honest I dont know what compression will be with my Brodix IK180 heads, can anyone help here?
But what I would like to have, is a fast street car, but also for crusing with the kids.
BR,
John
If it is the factory shortblock your 11 to 1 is probably closer to 10.6 to 1. The Brodix IK 180 is 64 CC chamber just like your factory heads if you bought the 64 cc ones. If this is the case the XE288HR with a 112 LSA should do what you want. The lift is less than the RPM cam with a little more duration,. Should cruise fine with your 3.70 gears. 4 speed and 1.6 rockers, be really fast and run pump fuel. Spend a few $ more for the beehives since you really need new springs for your cam anyway. They are worth it when you get to this build level. Wish they were availabe when I built mine. Get your valvetrain geometry right, correct pushrod length and check piston to valve clearance closely and you should be good to go.
