Body rack feeler
I've made up a few body racks in the past couple of years that friends have used to set there bodies on while doing a restorations. And I wanted to see if there would be interest for people doing restorations for a rack like this. I was thinking of pricing the racks at $1500 each. They are fully adjustable and will accept any body from 53-82. Better than the wooden ones I've seen out there.
Here is a photo of one of the racks
And here's a photo of the rack with the body on it ready to go to the body shop.
Hi 96,
Boy, that looks like a really serious body dolly.
For someone who's not going to use it on a series of cars it seems a lot money to devote to a 'tool', but it IS a beauty.
I built a wooden dolly and it lasted through a couple of uses over a couple of years but not for the long run like it looks like your's would.
Nice Work!
I'll bet they would sell at Carlisle!
Regards,
Alan

I agree Alan, they would sell at Carlisle. Some people would spend the money, use it on their restoration, and figure they could sell it when they are done and recoupe most of their money and it would probably change hands a dozen times and at the price of steel and the amount of work that it takes to put something like this together, I don't think the price is unreasonable.
