outer heater box
Hello All. I like to know if a 79 outer heater box w/ac will fit a 72 w/ac? My original box (case) is cracked in a few places. Is there a way to repair? Thanks for any help. mike

I'm using the right half (while looking at the car from the front) of a '77 box with my '70 left half. It looks like they are nearly identical, though the '70 has a couple of extra items screwed into it that the '77 didn't use. They bolt together in an identical manner. The '77 unit I'm using is the later design like your '79.

Thanks 1mpalss for the repair link. Took the plunge today and removed my outer heater box. checked Fan motor is good. probably bad ground to motor chasise. Now have to do epoxy magic. wish my motor was out not sure how it's gonna go back in. LOL
