I hope you can do your own body work. It looks like a car thats going to need some serious attention to stress cracks. God only knows what is under that paint. It's always a surprise when you strip the paint from a corvette anyway. Stick with it though, i've seen worse.

I'll learn as i don't plan on having other people do much to this car....
I have a friend who's a good motorcycle mechanic and knows a lot about cars. So i'm hoping he can help me out when i need some. But other then that i'm going to rely on the forum to help me along.
Just some 'friendly' advice-- I'm sure your friend is good with motorcylcles and can use tools just fine, but.... Corvettes are a different 'animal'. My advice is that when you want to do some specific work, ask this Forum for the 'real skinny' on that task before you get your friend involved. Then, when he gets stumped on "how the he!! to take that thing apart", you can steer him the right direction and he can think you're Mr. Wizard. It could save some damaged parts and maybe even a valued friendship, on ocassion.
Looks like fun!
I did all the body work and paint on my '69.
swapped the engine, trans rear end.
Rebuilt the rear suspension, front suspension
Built a rack and pinion conversion
built Wilwood brake brackets.
I had never done any of that before, well ok maybe an engine swap, so don't let anyone tell you that you can't do it.
