Default Tri Power

Hello all- I have a quick question. For years now I have had tri-power on my big block Camaro. Recently I decided to change the fuel lines to Stainless. Several things happened, the worst of which is the fuel bowl of the center carb has stripped out. Does anyone make these or do I need to find an origional 4055 Holley for parts? Thanks Rob

I ran into this problem a few years ago and couldn't find a bowl. I think I ended up using the rear bowl off a junk double pumper I had laying around.

Depending what year, you may have to drill and tap it for a breather(should you want the original look)

I bought one from these guys and was happy with it....

You may want to talk to Phil at Custom Rebuilt Carbs, here in NJ. He rebuilds and restores carbs. He also sells the correct fuel bowls for the tri-power Holleys, or he may be able to repair yours. I had a customer that stripped the fuel filter fitting out of the body of his original 72 Q-Jet. I sent it to Phil and he was able to repair it.

You can reach him at: 732-356-4333 or www.customrebuiltcarbs.com. Good luck.

It looks like the one but I need to understand the difference between a Holley 4055 and 2300. The bowls at Summit are listed for a Holley 2300.

New bowls from Summit and other place(selling new stuff) will have the incorrect font and patent marks.

2300 is the series of the carburetors, all 2 bbl carburetors. For 4 bbl carburetors the series is 4150, 4160, 4165, etc. You have a 2bbl 2300 series carburetor with part# 4055.
