'71 Headlight oddity
The aim shows that the holes where the bearing shaft goes through are supposed to be slotted out the top to allow you to remove the lights door without too mucg trouble. As you can see, mine are not. Think maybe this is not a '71 headlight bracket or did they change mid-year?

Those holes are correct. They hold the hinge that the top cover pivots on. They are slightly slotted for adjustment. The ones that are slotted to the top are on the backside. Should be three holes spaced out along the back side with two of them slotted open to the end.
