Cragar SS Wheels?
Does anyone have Cragar SS's mounted on a 1970 or equivalent? I love these wheels and would like to get them for my car, but I have been told that they will not fit because of clearance issues with the brake caliper.

My 75 had them. I used a thin spacer and had no issues with it.

Where did you get the spacers, and how thick where they?

Contact Crager. I'd be willing to bet they make the SS in the correct offset.

The spacers are 1/2" thick. They were available from Cragar when I got my SS's.
You need these......

Get the 15 x 7" wheels (they actually measure 7 1/2" wide).....they will fit under the wheelwells like stock.

Will they still require a spacer? Do you have a model number or part number.

Somebody put my Cragars on with two spacers. They total about 3/8 of an inch, but they are a PITA when you try to put the wheels on. You can't get both of them and the wheel aligned to get the lug nuts on. If it wasn't so expensive to change them I would.

Are your wheels 15x7's or 15x8's? What is the backspacing?

Why not go with AR TTII wheels and skip the spacers?

Why would these fit without spacers when Cragar of the same size and back spacing need them?

Because the AR Torq Thrust II's have arched spokes

Damn, that is one of the most beautiful corvettes I have ever seen. I do like those wheels, are they 15x8 or 15x7?

I would think that's likely the case as well. I'm planning on getting cragar's for my car as well and its got to be cragars as the arched spokes of the Torque thrusts don't like right to me - trouble is I don't think spacers are street legal in my jusrisdiction so if Cragar doesn't make a wheel that fits without them I'll have to stick with my stock rims.

Go bigger in diameter. They make Cragar SS in 17" too.

Cragar SS's look weird and disproportionate in sizes larger than 15"
