68 trim rings
Thanks,
JP
I need to ask what kind of judging?
If in the judging, 'originality' comes into play, they won't do very well; but if being 'pretty' is the issue, I'd think they would do very well.
Regards,
Alan
Currently, I have AG rims, but they have 15 X 8 trim rings (finger clipped), so I am already out of the originality running.
I just want them to fit correctly and perhaps hedge some of the point deduction (if possible) if they are at least visibly correct. It would be great to find the real deal, but so far no luck.
Best,
JP
The 68 ring is different than the 69-74 rings. BUT I'm not sure if you can tell with the ring mounted.
The following applies to 68-74 rings.
In NCRS Flight Judging the judges will be looking for the 4 clips, the position of the clips relative to the valve stem opening in the ring, and the shape of the inner ring that the clips attach to.
Rings have become a BIG deal, and excellent condition examples from production have become $$$, so high infact, that restoring originals has become a financial option.
Maybe this is more than you wanted to know.
Regards,
Alan
PS: I'd think the finger mount rings would get you enough 'originality' points that you could get some 'condition' points too.
