Now that i've learned how to get the headlights to down manually!!! Does anyone know how to make the wiper door go up manually!!! Thanks for any help-jimmy

Sure, just pull out the plug on the actuator, and use a screwdriver to push in the arm, and the door will open.

Also, you might want to see about finding an owners manual, both those procedures are in it - they are also fun to read. You can find them on ebay sometimes.

Hi jimmy,
If your going to get serious about figuring out, and working on your 71, I think you'll find at least 2 books almost priceless....
The factory ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION MANUAL (AIM) and
The GM CHASSISIS SERVICE MANUAL for 71.
The owner's manual that mash suggests should be in your 'library' too.
All three are available from many of the vendors.
