From drivers side, look straight down for a T shaped junction in the plastic covering. This covering is running along the plastic fender liner.
Your connection is pluged in here. look for a large red wire, and a small black one. Check for power here. My 80 is my reference, should be the same. Good luck

Also, check the short 3" ground wire between the light housing and hood support. I've seen a few corroded connectors there.

I don't know but there is power at the socket contact point. I would think the bulb would light. My tester lights. I bought another bulb at Napa. Like a dummy left it at work.
